I am a bit of a horror snob, and I know my opinion means absolutely nothing—especially on the internet, where there are four hundred and thirty-seven dickheads on Reddit ready to tell me why I’m wrong and that I should kill myself.
But elevated horror? What the hell is that?
Horror is horror. There are different subgenres that spread out in every imaginable direction you can possibly think of but it comes down to two categories: good horror and bad horror, and it’s subjective.
I get why the term was coined and what is meant by using it, but it’s stupid and it should die.
