I know I’m not alone in my appreciation for the glorious creatures of the open road that make every trip a near-death experience. They’re the ones who refuse to use cruise control and accelerate only when they glance up from their TikTok feed or if you try to pass them.
They’ve mastered the art of tailgating and love the high definition their high beams provide. If they’re not trying to kill everyone on the road by re-enacting their favorite scene from Fast and the Furious with a stranger, they’re cruising in the fast lane next to a semi they refuse to pass while showing off their bumper sticker that shows the world how much of an asshole they are.
They think traffic laws are guidelines for the cautious—not for the brave and self-appointed privileged. They are true anarchists, living their best, lawless lives—while we’re all just trying to survive the drive.
